Analyzing TYCHO output using PGPLOT
If your computer does not support PGPLOT, you will need to obtain the PGPLOT software and edit some of the paths in your .cshrc (or equivalent) file.
Click for a descrption of the various elements of the PGPLOT main window or the PGPLOT hr diagram window.
It is also possible to create postscript files of the PGPLOT main window and hr diagram.
Creating new stellar models using GENEX:
The program GENEX can be used to change the mass, radius, metallicity, and the hydrogen, helium, carbon, and oxygen mass fractions of a given stellar model. Refer to the GENEX page for a more detailed discussion of how to set up and run the GENEX stellar model editor.
Additional TYCHO subprograms
There are several other programs than can be made in the source directory and can be used to display TYCHO output in various forms. Click for a
list of additional programs including descriptions of how they're used, how to set up their include files, and some samples of their output.
